It all started when...

I first fell in love with Martinique when I was 16 years old. From the moment I smelled the warm floral air, met the smiling faces of the islanders and saw the breath taking landscapes, I was hooked. There was something different about this tropical paradise from anywhere else I'd ever been. The unspoiled beaches, unpredictable volcanos and vivacious capital filled me with a sense of wonder. And of course, I can't forget Martinique's Carnaval Festival. I live for these five days every year when the entire island parades in costumes and music fills the air wherever you go. 

After a few years of visiting Martinique, I decided to leave my homeland of Germany and fully emerge myself in the 'savoir vivre' way of life. For two years I studied economics at a private college, learned to speak French and found my true self. Martinique's modern lifestyle and European standards along with their strong sense of community appealed most to me. Its an island where the bond of family and friends means something very special. I truly believe Martinique made me a better person.

When I returned to Germany to continue my studies I had a new outlook on life and I was determined to follow my dreams. I can honestly say the success Ive experienced up until now is due to those 2 years and Ive made Martinique a priority in my life ever sense. Its my mental detox, my inspiration, my family and my home.

And now I want to share my home through my eyes so people can feel as renewed and filled with magic as I have - that's why I created Deux Noix De Coco.
